Jeff Hardy still has a big Roman Reigns clash in mind. That's his ideal scenario if he were to book his own retirement match.

On the verge of turning 48, some might believe that it’s time for Jeff Hardy to call it quits on his decades-spanning wrestling career. However, he’s definitely not in a mood to retire right now. In fact, the current one-half of the TNA tag team champions has a perfect last match opponent in mind if he were to go one-on-one in his swan song.

Speaking on the Outside The Ring podcast, ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ namedropped Roman Reigns as the one he would like to take on in his wrestling farewell. It’s not the first time Hardy has expressed a keen interest in sharing the ring with ‘The Tribal Chief’. Hardy spoke highly of Reigns’ 1316-day run as a world champion in WWE. For the unversed, the two were indeed slated for a major feud in early 2022.

As far as my solo dimension, I might have to say that a Roman Reigns match would be pretty epic for a last match. All those years he was a champion, just took it to such a different level.

However, back on December 4, 2021, the erstwhile Brother Nero walked out of a WWE house show midway during a tag team match he was competing in. He would, unfortunately, be released by the company almost a week later after refusing WWE’s demand to attend rehab. Earlier this year, the North Carolina native opened up about that bizarre phase in his career leading to his WWE ouster.

Hardy noted that his father passed away on the same day as his wife’s birthday in April 2021. His struggles with alcohol started troubling him even more during that time, and he almost got carried away with it. As far as WWE letting him go, Hardy said the way it worked out was sad and also confirmed that he didn’t agree to attend rehab. The tag team icon would’ve eventually gone on to oppose Reigns for the world title had it not been for the mess that drove him out of WWE.

Roman Reigns might learn his Clash in Paris opponent on Raw

Roman Reigns hasn’t been the same force of nature ever since losing the Undisputed WWE title to Cody Rhodes at last year’s WrestleMania. At the moment, he’s without a full-fledged Bloodline backing him up except for Jey Uso. The 40-year-old from Pensacola is currently involved in a feud with Seth Rollins‘ faction, The Vision.

Rollins and his men, Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed, have repeatedly carried out beatdowns on Reigns of late. Reed, the self-proclaimed ‘Tribal Thief’, had been parading around with Reigns’ shoes that he stole in recent weeks. It has sparked speculation among fans that ‘The Auszilla’ will be made to pay for his deeds by the former Bloodline boss.

Reigns is set to appear on tonight’s Raw in Philadelphia, and he’s likely to address the brutal attack carried out on him by Rollins, Breakker, and Reed a couple of weeks ago. With the ‘Head of the Table’ advertised for Clash in Paris, he might have his second singles match of the year on August 31.

Keke Palmer talks about accidentally leaking Roman Reigns’ role in The Pickup

If his ongoing ventures in Hollywood are any indication, Roman Reigns is definitely looking forward to that full-time transition in the near future. Recently, The Pickup, starring Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer in lead roles, hit Prime Video on August 6. Reigns also has a cameo in the film, which could be seen below.

But quite recently, Palmer admitted during an interview with Screen Rant that she got in trouble for posting Reigns on her Snapchat from the sets of the movie. The 31-year-old actress said that she wasn’t aware of The Tribal Chief’s stature in the modern-day wrestling business, even though she used to watch it back in the day.

Palmer did an impression of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, indicating she hasn’t watched wrestling since the Attitude Era of WWE. Coming back to Johnson’s cousin Reigns, Palmer inadvertently leaked his casting in The Pickup after she posted an image of him on her social media. Apart from this, Reigns is set to play the role of Akuma in Street Fighter, for which he’ll begin filming in early September.
