Jerry Jones is the richest owner in the NFL in terms of team value, and occasionally he gives a glimpse of how much money he has. The Dallas Cowboys players got first-hand experience during their practice on Wednesday.

While Dak Prescott, Trey Lance, and Cooper Rush prepared themselves for throwing drills, they noticed a chopper descending right on top of the practice field. They half stopped their activity, curiously looking at the chopper as well as reporters such as the NFL Network’s Jane Slater, ESPN’s Todd Archer, and The Athletic’s Saad Yousuf.

The chopper landed at an opening adjacent to where Prescott and Co. practiced. Jerry Jones popped out of the flying machine and headed to his office inside the facility.

Angry football fans call out Jerry Jones for his lavish lifestyle while the Cowboys struggle to win games

Even if Jones had never admitted it, he had been under pressure for quite some time, which elevated him to a whole new level during the latest off-season. The inability of the Cowboys’ front office to splurge cash on elite players made fans angry.

Not only did Jones pay big money to Prescott, whom many Cowboys fans would be happy to see out of the team, but he refused to pay NFL Offensive Player of the Year recipient Derrick Henry, his desired salary. Henry wanted to play for the Cowboys but instead joined the Ravens and recorded 151 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Ravens’ week 3 win.

Fans accused Jones of sabotaging the Cowboys for his personal gains outside of football.

Todd Archer interviewed the Cowboys’ newest addition, KJ Henry, from the Cincinnati Bengals as a precaution against any long-term injury to pass rusher Micah Parsons. It was Henry’s first practice session with the Cowboys, and he witnessed something he had never experienced before.

Immediately I was asking the guys, ‘Is this like an everyday thing?’ Like, I mean, this is real Dallas-like. I mean, the helicopter right through warmups. So that was cool. That’s how some of the head coaches used to recruit back in high school and bring a helicopter to the field. That was a little different.

Henry might experience several sides of Jerry Jones if he sticks around in Dallas long enough.

For now, they should focus on building on their week 4 win over the New York Giants. Up next, they will face the 3-1 Pittsburgh Steelers.
