Jey Uso was on cloud nine after becoming the No. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Following his win, he shifted his focus from all the Bloodline drama to Damian Priest and his title. During their conversation on Raw, it looked like Jey struck the champ’s nerve with his statement regarding Rhea Ripley.
On the latest episode of Raw, Jey Uso came out and addressed the WWE Universe. However, he was soon interrupted by his Backlash opponent, Damian Priest. At first, Priest surprised everyone by recalling the good memories he shared with the 38-year-old. Jey was in no mood for the silly games, taking a dig at Priest’s leadership in The Judgment Day after Rhea Ripley‘s absence.
Mami and Jey have quite a history together. They often flirted with each other during the YEET Master’s initial run on Raw. Nevertheless, what started as a normal conversation on Raw soon turned into chaos when JD McDonagh blindsided the former Tag Team Champion with a sneak attack. However, Jey was able to thwart the attack and deliver a devastating superkick, which accidentally floored The Archer of Infamy.
So all talk coming from the leader of the Judgment Day. But the only reason why you're the leader of the Judgment Day, is because Rhea Ripley got hurt. By the way, how's she doing? tell her I said...Jey Uso to Damian Priest on Raw
The 38-year-old will challenge The Judgment Day member at Backlash France on May 4. It will be interesting to see whether “Main Event” Jey manages to capture the first singles title of his career. But first, he will engage in a 6-man tag team match, teaming with Ricochet and Andrade to take on The Judgment Day next week on Raw.
Jey Uso complained about not receiving a gift from Cody Rhodes after WrestleMania XL
After finally becoming the world champion at WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes bought matching Rolex watches for his tag team partner Seth Rollins and his rivals Roman Reigns and The Rock. However, it looked like Jey Uso was left off the list. As such, he recently expressed his disappointment with his former tag team partner’s attitude towards him in an interview.
While speaking with talkSPORT, Jey was asked whether he received the watch Rhodes had made for his rivals and partner. The 38-year-old denied it and felt that his partnership with The American Nightmare wasn’t that special. Jey jokingly said he would have a conversation about this when they met.
Hell no I ain't get no watch, man. Oh, I guess I ain't that much a superb teammate. Oh don't worry I'm gonna talk to him when I see him tonight, 'hey what time is it?Jey Uso via talkSPORT
The four stars were the talk of this year’s WrestleMania after main eventing both nights. On night 1, The Bloodline picked up the victory thanks to The Rock. However, the tables turned on night 2, as The American Nightmare defied all odds to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
