Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury is something the whole boxing fraternity have been wanting to see ever since both the Brits hit the spotlight. Now, it finally looks like the time has come for the super-fight. But, before that Kubrat Pulev stands in Anthony Joshua’s path. AJ faces Kubrat on the 12th of December, this year and he will be defending his WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO world titles. If, Anthony Joshua beats Kubrat, then the Tyson Fury super-bout will just be a stone throw away.
Earlier this week Tyson took to social media to reveal that he wouldn’t be making his return this year against Agit Kabayel and it looks like the fight has been scrapped.
Speaking of this in an interview, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn wanted Tyson Fury to take up the Anthony Joshua fight, assuring that he would play his role to the best, in making that fight happen.
“AJ wants to fight Fury” – Eddie Hearn
Speaking to Sky Sports, Eddie Hearn was quoted as saying, “Listen, it’s completely over to them. We have the dynamics of the deal in place. I don’t want to hear from Fury: ‘No, I’m thinking about fighting in March or April. ‘Why? Just go straight into the AJ fight. It’s going to be the same timeframe. Listen, Fury doesn’t want to take a small fight. They couldn’t even get the money together to give him a fight in December, so let’s give him plenty of money. Let’s give him the biggest fight. Fury wants to fight AJ, unquestionably, and AJ wants to fight Fury. It’s no conversation to be had until AJ’s hand is raised on December 12. Once that is made, let’s get it on. Let’s give everyone the fight they want and deserve.”
Speaking of talks of Tyson Fury in Anthony Joshua’s camp, Eddie Hearn said, “Not one person in the camp is talking about Fury.I just know that if he deals with Pulev, the only fight, the only job that I’ve got is to make that fight with Fury immediately. He wants that fight badly.”
The world badly needs the AJ vs Fury match to happen!
