After starting the season with back-to-back losses, the Baltimore Ravens have finally found their rhythm, improving to a 2-2 record with two consecutive victories. Speaking of which, they are coming off an impressive 35-10 feat against the Buffalo Bills, but, surprisingly, their star quarterback Lamar Jackson became subject to scrutiny over his average performance.

Finishing 13 out of his 18 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns, Jackson received immense backlash from the NFL bettors, who put their money on Jackson and lost. Even though this was the two-time NFL MVP’s second straight game under the 200-yard mark, these resulted in victories for his team, and in the end, that’s what matters the most.

Frustrated by the unreasonable anger from the fans, the Ravens’ star finally fired back by sharing a tweet on his official X account addressing those annoyed bettors. He slammed them by saying that his individual scores doesn’t matter if his team succeed with a victory

This is a ‘TEAM’ sport, I’m not out here satisfied when I threw for 300 yds but took a L. If I throw for 50 yds and we WIN, that’s wtf matters. Yall stop commenting on our socials about the yds yall fan duel or parlays ain’t hit.

In the starting two weeks, Jackson’s individual stats were solid with 273 yards and 247 yards respectively, but both concluded in the Ravens’ defeat. That’s why, having less responsibility in the following two weeks has been quite sustainable and fruitful for the quarterback, irrespective of how it looks for the bettors and fantasy football owners.

Lamar Jackson praises team effort in 35-10 victory

In the past, there have been several games where Jackson carried the team upon his shoulders but that wasn’t the case on Sunday. While addressing the media during the post-game press conference, the three-time Pro Bowler applauded the teams’ efforts for the dominating 35-10 victory.

We got the running game going, but the receivers, they did their part. That [was] just the type of game [where] we had to run the ball more. They were playing two high [safeties], and Derrick [Henry] just did what he was supposed to do, and the offensive line [was] as well. Our receivers helped us out a lot, too.

If that wasn’t a reflection to his leadership skills, Jackson also apologized to fans, despite the victory, for his sack in the second quarter of the Sunday Night Football game. Appreciating the offensive line, he took the blame for the sack, stating that he should have done a better job protecting himself from it.
