WATCH: “Jordan would’ve never missed” – LeBron James’ CRUCIAL three-point miss is going viral as Lakers blow 20-point lead to Nuggets
The Los Angeles Lakers head home with a difficult proposition to win the 1st round playoff battle.
LeBron James missed 3-point shot leading to Los Angeles Lakers blowing 20-point lead to Denver Nuggets win
Jamal Murray‘s last-second shot might have won the Denver Nuggets the game, but it was not the most crucial shot in the second game of the playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers. Rather, it was the wide-open 3-point shot attempt by LeBron James, which could have placed the game in the hands of the men in purple and gold.
LeBron James has seen a lot of playoff games throughout his career. Plus, the man is known for having the highest IQ in the game of basketball. Therefore, fans were wondering what went through his mind when he pulled up for a 3-point shot when his defender was on the floor.
Add to that, the lane to the rim was wide open, with four Nuggets players defending five Lakers. It should also be noted that James was gassed at that time.
With all of these situations, it seems unfathomable when he pulled up for a three. He could have just dribbled inside using his force and forced a layup or a foul. Or even dish it out to his teammates who can attempt. No one would ever know how he envisioned the play would develop, but they definitely will not forget this miss.
After all, the rebound from that miss went on to be a part of the game-winner. Had LeBron held on to the ball a bit longer, it would have made all their efforts on the night to not go in vain.
