The Golden State Warriors may be rising in their chances of recruiting LeBron James, but there are rumblings that the idea of playing alongside Stephen Curry may not come to fruition.
The King has made it clear that he loves to play alongside his longtime rival. But after the franchise could not make any inroads towards landing Anthony Davis, their chances seemed to dwindle.
In the meantime, other teams came to the fore, such as the Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat, and naturally, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Even outlier teams such as the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets wanted to give it a shot. But when it comes to teams that have a realistic chance, these two are not in the mix.
Draymond Green did his part when he took the opportunity of hanging out with James to pitch him on the possibility of playing together. However, the forward acknowledged that it may not lead to anything.
The Bay, we know how to win, beautiful weather, great golf… We just know how to play basketball, and I think that he would enjoy just the idea of what it means to finish your career the right way.
Stephen Curry said on Good Morning America
This was the second time Curry has openly pitched the Warriors to his fellow Akron native. He acknowledged that it may not come to anything, but still joked that his friend could end his career in the right way.

Stephen Curry made it clear that his experience playing together for Team USA has enabled them to have these conversations. But understands that LeBron James has the right to choose what is best for his career.
Stephen Curry’s involvement could make LeBron James to Warriors possible
Stephen Curry is making no secret that he would like it if LeBron James were to join his Golden State Warriors. When Dave McMenamin joined the Rich Eisen Show, he was asked whether these pitches were helping their chances.

To me, that’s some sort of indicator that there’s true interest, obviously, in Steph joining up with LeBron. Probably because he feels that there’s some sort of chance of it happening.
Dave McMenamin replied
The longtime insider believes that since these public pitches have been coming out, it has reinforced the fact that the Warriors are very much interested in landing the league’s all-time leading scorer.

Whether they have a chance or not is another question. Just like Stephen Curry, players from other teams are doing their bit to send their pitches to LeBron James, which helps the latter, while inhibiting the Warriors.
76ers stars contact LeBron James
While Draymond Green and Stephen Curry are doing their bit, there is confirmed news that the Cleveland Cavaliers duo Donovan Mitchell and James Harden are communicating with LeBron James.
Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo certainly have the four-time league MVP’s number, which is why the Miami Heat are reported to be favored if these negotiations drag. Then there are the Philadelphia 76ers.
Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown have all been in communication with James, sources told ESPN on Tuesday, with Maxey leading the charge.
Dave McMenamin revealed
The insider, who keeps tabs on the James situation, came to learn that the three most important players on the Sixers are in constant touch with the 41-year-old.
Jaylen Brown has already made his pitch publicly, albeit with some help from streamer IShowSpeed. But now that the others are in the mix, it seems the Sixers are quietly becoming the favorites to land James.
The latter has connections within the organization, and after Bob Myers, President of Harris-Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, gave a pitch on James’ agent, Rich Paul’s podcast, many believe James could play for the Sixers.
