Ex-NFL Star Wants Smoke with Jake Paul After Logan Fight Talks Stalled

Le’Veon Bell is moving on from fighting Logan Paul. Bell’s new target is Logan’s brother, Jake Paul.

Bell, a former NFL running back, traded football for a career in boxing after hanging up his boots. He is looking for a new opponent, and fighting one half of the famous Paul brothers is not a bad proposition at all.

Speaking with TMZ, Bell expressed his wish to face JP inside the boxing ring after he recovers from a broken jaw.

[Jake’s] still recovering from his broken jaw or whatever. I got nothing but respect for Jake. I think Jake done did everything. This event right here was crazy… If Jake wants to get in the ring with me when he gets back from recovery, yeah, I’m down. I’m down.

The history between Le’Veon Bell and the Paul brothers

Only two months ago, Logan Paul had claimed that no NFL athlete could defeat him inside the boxing or wrestling ring. He threw an open challenge to any active NFL player for a fight.

Bell responded to Paul’s bravado and waited for an answer. The YouTuber turned WWE star ghosted Bell for a few days before the retired running back called Paul out on Twitter.

STOP DUCKING, Logan Paul. bro tryna fight an NFL player that’s never fought before .. let’s set it up bro, we all heard you say you can beat any NFL player .. we can fight in April, the NFL draft is in PITTSBURGH .. we can fight NFL draft weekend! let’s make it happen.

Bell tweeted

Bell’s no-nonsense approach worked. Paul left a reply in the comment section, but it wasn’t something Bell or any wrestling fan was hoping for. Paul said he can’t/won’t fight Bell because he’s not an active football player and he knows a thing or two about throwing punches, so the deal’s off.

A.) you’re not in the NFL
B.) you can actually fight so I’d have to properly train, meaning I’d have to step away from WWE (which I won’t do, especially not for you)
C.) There’s no money here because you’re not a draw. Prove me otherwise

Ofc YOU want the opportunity, I’m a…

Paul’s attempt at backing out of the fight got under Bell’s skin, and he fired back immediately with a snarky jab.

Lol bro you said “Tom Brady” who’s damn near 50, and he’s not NFL either .. if you don’t want the smoke, then just say that .. but everybody and they mom would love to see me smoke you in pittsburgh .. I promise you that.

Paul eventually caved in and said yes to the bout, much to the amusement of Tom Brady. Unfortunately, he backed out of the fight by claiming that the WWE cannot risk losing him to an injury in a non-sanctioned fight.

Welp. The bosses called Turns out I’m too valuable of a WWE Superstar to be fighting bums I want to take this opportunity to congratulate Le’Veon Bell and [Breiden Fehoko] for their 15 minutes of relevancy. Now back to being broke and retired I’m going back to RAW every Monday on Netflix.

Paul brothers receive a warning from an NBA legend

The entire “I am better than any football player” shenanigan began on an episode of Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, featuring Brady. The beef continued on Twitter, Instagram, and even on draft day of the Flag Football Classic. Brady and Logan were on opposing teams and got their hands dirty during one of the games.

Retired NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal found Paul’s attitude toward the GOAT of football tasteless and issued a warning to the brothers last week while sitting beside Brady at an event.

Next time you disrespect Tom Brady at a flag football game, I will punch you in your face. I had to call Tom. I said ‘Is this kid serious? Because I will punch him in the face’ Nobody messes with Tom Brady on my watch. Tom is the nicest guy.

Shaq said

Only time will reveal whether Shaq’s warning worked or not. One thing is for certain: the Paul brothers wouldn’t want to be in the same ring as Shaq.
