New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has had a tremendous start to the 2021 MLB season. Through the first 25 games of the year, Judge has already hit 8 home runs and driven in 18 runs, leading the Yankees to an 11-14 record. But despite his strong start, Judge isn’t ready to predict whether he’ll reach the lofty home run totals he’s achieved in the past.
In a recent interview with reporters, Judge was asked whether he thought it was possible to hit 62 home runs in a single season, a feat only achieved by Barry Bonds and Roger Maris. Judge’s response was simple but honest: “You never know.”
Of course, Judge’s accomplishments on the field speak for themselves. In his career thus far, he’s hit 123 home runs and driven in 303 runs in just 411 games. He was also the unanimous choice for American League Rookie of the Year in 2017 and has been named to two All-Star teams.
With his combination of power, speed, and athleticism, Judge is one of the most exciting players to watch in the game today. Whether he’s hitting mammoth home runs or making acrobatic catches in the outfield, Judge always seems to be in the middle of the action.

Aaron Judge reflects on his hot start and staying healthy
While Aaron Judge wasn’t willing to make any bold predictions about his future home run totals, he did reflect on his strong start to the 2021 season and emphasized the importance of staying healthy throughout the year.
Judge has battled injuries throughout his career, missing significant time in 2018 and 2019 with various ailments. But so far in 2021, he’s been able to stay on the field and produce at a high level.
“I feel good. I feel healthy. I’m just trying to stay on the field and contribute to this team,” Judge said. “I know what I’m capable of when I’m healthy, so I just have to stay healthy and let my play do the talking.”
While Judge’s response to the question about hitting 62 home runs may not be the bold prediction that some fans were hoping for, it’s a testament to his level-headed approach to the game.
Judge knows that the road to success is a long one, and he’s not going to make any guarantees about his future performance. Instead, he’s focused on staying healthy and helping his team win games.
If Judge can stay healthy and continue to produce at a high level, there’s no doubt that he’ll be one of the most feared hitters in the game. And who knows, maybe he’ll even be in the conversation for hitting 62 home runs in a season at some point in the future. But for now, Judge is content to take things one game at a time and let his play do the talking.
