The offseason in MLB brings several interesting developments. As the teams continue to bolster their squad for the next season, one major award ceremony will take place. That’s right, the Hall of Fame ballot for 2024 has been announced with the name of Alex Rodriguez headlining the players.

Popularly known as A-Rod, the former New York Yankees superstar is one of the big names to be selected for his ballot. This will be the third time he has been named to this list. He did not receive enough votes on the previous two occasions.

While Rodriguez has achieved plenty of success on the field, his past usage of Performance-Enhancing Drugs (PEDs) has brought a huge mark on his career. This has been a major reason he has never attended the HOF class.

A-Rod now once again has the chance. The use of drugs is likely once again going to come up as a topic of conversation when the voting starts. He himself once admitted that this move cost him entry into the Hall of Fame.

Who are the other players on the 2024 Baseball Hall of Fame ballot?

The Hall of Fame in every sport is the one place every player wants to enter. However, only a handful of these make it into this prestigious class. This year once again a set of players have the chance to achieve immortality in baseball as the BBWAA announces the list. While the name of Alex Rodriguez is one of the standout names, or the others in this exclusive list?

One name that might surpass A-Rod in this category and likely take his place is Adrian Beltre. The Dominican Republic International has been one of the big names of his time and has amazed over 3,000 hits in this career. Other two names that are part of this list include Manny Ramirez and Atlanta Braves‘s Andruw Jones.

This could also be the last chance for Gary Sheffield. This will be his tenth appearance on this list and if he does not make it out this time, then it is likely he will never make it to the HOF. Check out the tweet from X below which has the list of the 2024 ballot.

The new candidates include the likes of former New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon, Jose Batiusta, and Matt Holiday. On paper, several would argue that all these names deserve to be recognized with his award. However, only a few of them will make it.
