Alex Rodriguez has continued to dominate headlines in recent times. The former baseball player’s stardom is only matched by a few individuals. Such has been his influence, his name still manages to grab the talking points. Going by his nickname of “A-Rod”, the baseball star has seen plenty of eyes being drawn to him for his actions.

His former high school teammate and Red Sox player Doug Mientkiewicz recently made it clear that there is no love lost between the duo. Making an appearance at the “Foul Territory Podcast”, Mientkiewicz brutally slammed his former colleague. He also made a wild prediction that Rodriguez will die a lonely man.

While one might slam Meintkiewicz for this statement, A-Rod’s own actions do not help him. Following his divorce from his wife Cynthia Scurtis, A-Rod has been in many relationships but has failed to settle down.

While A-Rod’s personal life has always been the center of attention, some of his other actions have also made him an enemy in people’s eyes. His attitude on-and-off the field has been criticized by various players. Mientkiewicz is not a fan of how despite cheating for years, A-Rod is celebrated as an analyst.

Rodriguez was suspended for the entirety of the 2014 season after he was found guilty of using performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). A-Rod would deny those claims initially but later accepted his mistake and the punishment. His history with the usage of drugs could prove to be a major factor in his being not inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame.

There is no denying that Alex Rodriguez is a one-of-a-kind player. Various stories regarding his actions have surfaced over the years. Doug Meintkiewicz who is popularly known for the catch of the final out in the 2004 World Series, was taken back by how much power A-Rod had over the young stars of the team when he joined the Yankees in 2007.

He was left shocked at how A-Rod used to boss around the young players and surprised that veteran players like Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada did nothing about it. He blames them for the ego growth of Rodriguez. “I’ve always said that he’s going to die a lonely man,Doug Mientkiewicz said in the podcast. He later added how his “whole father of the year” stuff is just an act of trying to get in good eyes.

Maybe Meintkiewicz is not fond of how Rodriguez has forgotten his school pals. A-Rod’s life has seen a lot of ups and downs recently. He has now been accused of trying to cheat on actor Madison LeCroy while being engaged to Jennifer Lopez. Rodriguez has denied all these accusations and is preparing to answer her back. He has not made any statement as of yet in regard to this matter.
