Aaron Judge and Joba Chamberlain
Joba Chamberlain, the ex-Yankee star has his very own verdict on the whole Aaron Judge and the Yankees salary situation. According to him his ex-team, The New York Yankees should pay him a sum of $40 Million a year to keep him playing for the team in the next season and even after that.
If the New York Yankees do listen to their ex-team player, the contract would make Aaron Judge the second highest paid player in Major League Baseball following Max Scherzer, whose annual payday gets him $43 Million. Joba Chamberlain says although this is a big leap the Yankees have to do it.
“Pay him, now. Immediately,” Joba Chamberlain says. “Whatever he wants. Give him a key to the city.” 30-year-old Aaron Judge is a flight risk according to Joba, he feels after the entire arbitration situation, the Yankees have to swoop in with a contract north of the historic $37 million-per-year pact that Mike Trout just recently signed with the Los Angeles Angels.
