Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson remains a unique fighter in UFC history. Many still doubt his GOAT credentials. However, his performances in the Pan American championships proved Mighty Mouse has more left in combat sports. Carving out an excellent showcasing in BJJ matches will further solidify Johnson’s GOAT case.

He showed his exceptional grappling skills by securing gold and silver medals at the IBJJF Pan American Championship 2024. Demetrious Johnson competed in the Master 2 featherweight division and demonstrated his skills in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The flyweight legend had the greatest title reign in UFC history.

Despite facing size disadvantages, Johnson skilfully navigated his way through to win the gold and silver medals. It makes one wonder about the skill level of Demetrious Johnson. People like Bradley Martyn must now wonder what would happen to them if they fought someone like Mighty Mouse.

An MMA return for Mighty Mouse remains in an uncertain mood. There is also a chance that ONE FC is waiting to put Johnson in an American card when the promotion returns to the US this year. People were definitely impressed by Johnson’s feat, especially against athletes much bigger than him. Many called him a legend and the greatest pound-for-pound martial artist ever. Johnson is currently a second-degree brown belt. It will be interesting to see what more he can accomplish before he puts on the coveted black belt.
