Dana White‘s Power Slap fighter Jon Kennedy has been suspended for 9 months after testing positive for cocaine use. People in the MMA community don’t seem to be surprised by the results due to the brutality of the sport.
White can’t seem to be able to catch a break ever since his Power Slap league started. First, fighters like Nate Diaz and Ryan Garcia were against the league since it doesn’t allow the fighters to protect themselves. Then, the fighter pay for this brutal sport was way too less considering the brutality.
And now, Power Slap League fighter Jon Kennedy has tested positive for cocaine. The use of drugs in these cases helps in numbing the pain and keeps them awake without getting knocked out easily.

The use of any form of drugs in a sport that deals in giving damage to their opponents has always been illegal and unethical as this could lead to giving them permanent damage or even life-ending. It is up to the UFC bossman now, about how he deals with further reports on this.

I’m more worried about the slap dudes not doing cocaine.

They are not athletes and therefore should not be tested. They should be able to compete while fully intoxicated, especially for added entertainment value. After all, it’s a TV show, not a sport.

The use of all kinds of drugs in any combat sport has been frowned upon by everyone. So a drug that can help fighters enhance their damage-dealing abilities or damage-tolerating abilities is unfair. It is up to White if he wants to let the punishment be enough for him or add more punishment to him.
