The NASCAR Cup garage is set for the second race of the season at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, following the wreck filled season opener, Daytona 500. The same chaos is expected to occur at Atlanta, which is a semi-Superspeedway and the incidents at Daytona proved that changes made to the Next-Gen hasn’t had any significant impact.
2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, via his podcast, made his prediction for the event. After seeing the string performance from Ford team last Sunday, he is betting on the 2022 Daytona 500 winner of Team Penske Racing, Austin Cindric to win the race. The youngster has the car advantage as well as the momentum advantage for the Atlanta weekend.
Here’s my pick. We talked about the Fords. We talked about the advantages, not advantages, just things that they do better than the other makes right now. And I’m going with Austin Cindric. I’m going to pick the two car. He’s been up front at all the superspeedway races. I think this is a good week for them to have a chance to win.
Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hour podcast.
The co-host of the Fox Sports produced podcast; Kaitlyn Vincie also predicted a Ford driver win. He picked the reigning champion Joey Logano, who had the fastest car on Sunday, before getting caught up with some wreck, as the potential winner.
I’m going with Joey Logano, he’s won two in the last four, including September.

Kevin Harvick’s second co-host picks Bubba Wallace to win at Atlanta
Mamba Smith had three drivers who he thinks can win the race at Atlanta. He named Ryan Blaney and Kyle Busch as two drivers that are going to be strong. But he is expecting a Bubba Wallace win, with the 23XI Racing driver who won Duel one last week and has good momentum on his side.

My brain says YRB (Ryan Blaney), he’s always in the front of these. My heart says Kyle Busch because I want redemption. But my gut is what I’m going with, I’m going with Bubba Wallace in the 23. They are up front a lot of times.
Mamba Smith said.
All three NASCAR insiders have solid prediction, with Kevin Harvick’s pick, Cindric seeming to be the better man. The No:2 driver has raced clean and fair on Sunday, unlike other drivers. This will give him an advantage going to this Sunday’s event.
