One of the wildest moments from the NASCAR Cup Series race last Sunday at San Diego was the heated confrontation between Noah Gragson and Kevin Magnussen. After having multiple run-ins on the track, the Ford driver confronted the ringer in an unproductive conversation filled with F-bombs.

2014 Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick shared his thoughts on the incident on the latest episode of the Speed with Harvick and Buxton. He took shots at the Front Row Motorsports driver for abandoning his race to prove a point by taking revenge on the Trackhouse Project 91 car. The veteran lost his mind when he should’ve been composed.

Noah had completely abandoned trying to race anymore and just wanted to run into the 91 car, to I guess prove a point. I’ve been on both sides of this. I have lost my mind and going to show this guy what it’s all about, and that’s where Noah was.

Kevin Harvick said on his podcast.

Further talking about the point, Kevin Harvick highlighted that Noah Gragson caused an unwanted moment by confronting Kevin Magnussen after the race. The former F1 driver definitely had the last laugh during the conversation, as he came with some witty comebacks while the FRM racer was repeating the same words.

Noah definitely lost his mind there and then after the race, they had a confrontation talking about it, and the thing that comes back to me is with Magnussen is the ‘s**k my balls, mate’ moment.

NASCAR insider claims Noah Gragson’s response was justified

Speaking on PRN live, veteran broadcaster Dough Rice came to the defense of the former Stewart Haas Racing driver over the drama. He insisted that that the racer was justified, as deserved respect from the part-time driver in the situation.

Yes, he was justified. You got invited to this little dinner party and you come over, it would be a little Formula One thing going on. And you tank a guy that people love. So yeah, way to go, Noah.

Doug Rice said.

Further talking about the drama, the veteran highlighted that the incident didn’t happen because Gragson was upset. The FRM driver is someone who is ready to confront rivals and that’s one factor many of his fans love about him.

I don’t think Noah is upset at all. … It was so on brand. That’s why people love him.

Doug Rice added.

Gragson has had heated confrontation with many drivers in the past, including the most recent incident involving Ross Chastain, where the Trackhouse Racing driver hit him across the mouth. The comment from the veteran seems to be on point and it seems the whole racing community feels the Ford drivers isn’t going to change anytime soon.
