The 2024 NASCAR Cup season is in the most critical positions as the teams are at Las Vegas for the last round of the playoff race before the championship finale. Eight drivers, that includes three former champions, are ready to give everything for a spot in the finale and solid chance at winning the ultimate prize.

Ex-champion Kevin Harvick has made his championship-4 prediction via the recent episode of his podcast. He names the HMS duo of William Byron and Kyle Larson to make it alongside the Toyota duo of Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick. He then argued Chase Elliott doesn’t get in because he hasn’t been consistent and dominant enough.

I think, for me, William Byron, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick. I just think that Reddick is going to be able to get it done on one of these two race tracks, and I don’t see [Joey] Logano and [Ryan] Blaney having the speed. Chase Elliott has been very consistent, and he’s had quality, good finishes, but I just haven’t seen that dominance out of those three guys.

Kevin Harvick said via Harvick’s Happy Hour.

But then Harvick started doubting his choice of overlooking his former championship pick Denny Hamlin, seeing him as a wild card for the R-8. Then he decided to replace Reddick with his 23XI Racing boss, though he isn’t 100% sure about it. It will be interesting to see if Harvick regrets his choice.

Denny Hamlin, I think he’s the wild card. I know he’s my championship pick, but I think it’s going to be tough for him if they don’t win Martinsville. I think they’re going to be okay, I think. So, my toss-up right now is, do I leave Tyler Reddick in there, and say he’s my guy — I’ve got to go with Denny Hamlin, right? I can’t go against my pick, so I’m going to take Reddick out and I’m going to put Denny Hamlin in because he’s my pick, but I’m just — I’m not 100% confident in it.

The veteran driver in the same podcast also predicted the one who potentially win the race. He argued that there is no reason for him to overlook, Larson who has been dominant last week at Roval and the impressive performance of the No:5 Chevy team, under the leadership of Cliff Daniels.

It’s hard to go against Kyle Larson. He won the first race there, dominated this last week, so I’m going to stick with that Kyle Larson, Cliff Daniels train as they head back to Las Vegas.

The predictions from Kevin Harvick seems to be something many can agree with as he chose the best drivers in the last-8. But there is a huge chance that the Team Penske Fords with Ryan Blaney and Joey Lognao, will be tough contenders.
