Brad Keselowski now has the same number of wins as a team owner in 2023 as his former boss Roger Penske.

The 2023 season so far hasn’t been the best for Ford Cup teams as they failed to repeat the solid runs they had in the debut season of Next-Gen cars. Only three drivers have won races for them despite having three top teams and nine drivers in cars that should be fighting for wins. Team Penske Racing Ryan Blaney and Joey Logano scored the first two wins.

Chris Buescher of RFK Racing made the total wins four, as he secured back-to-back victories, first in Richmond and now in Michigan this Monday. RFK failed to make it to the playoff last season and was able to score just one win, courtesy of Buescher again. This season, they have been the best that happen to them. Both of their drivers are in the playoffs, as Brad Keselowski has a healthy lead to make it in points.

After the race wins, the 2012 Cup champion and RFL co-owner Keselowski asked if his crew had proven they were the best among the Fords. He pointed out that he is letting the results speak for themselves. But the team remains humble and keeps their heads down as there is still huge competition from rivals.

We’re letting our results speak for themselves. Chris has done a heck of a job driving the car. When you get to win, it feels really good. We got to keep some humbleness and keep our heads down. There’s some great competition out here,” Keselowski said after the race.

The former Penske Racing driver has won three races as a team owner since joining the side in 2022. While he has failed to secure one of those wins, it doesn’t disappoint him too much as, at the end of the day, he is winning when Buescher is in the victory lane.

While talking about the team’s effort at Michigan, Keselowski said he is proud of his team as they made the necessary changes on time and enabled the No:17 driver to outrace Martin Truex Jr. and Denny Hamlin in a fast Joe Gibbs Racing Camry. He added that he thanks his team for digging deep to secure wins.

Right at the end, we made some adjustments on both of our cars, found some speed. Chris was able to hold off Martin, running all of them down. Really happy for all the folks at Castro, RFK. There’s a lot of work going on here. We’re digging deep, getting the results. I’m so thankful and proud of everyone at RFK,” Keselowski said.
