NASCAR Cup Series’ only black athlete Bubba Wallace has expressed his happiness as he joins F1 fans in congratulating Lewis Hamilton for winning the Hungarian GP pole. The seven times F1 world champion out-ran his rival Max Verstappen of Red Bull in a thrilling last push lap battle to secure his maiden pole of 2023 and first one since 2021 Saudi Arabian GP.

Bubba Wallace took it to Twitter to congratulate Hamilton on securing his 104th career pole and making a new pole record, breaking the previous one he held. Wallace tweeted, “GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!” as a reply to a poster shared on Twitter via the official handle of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team.

The duo was separated by just 0.003 seconds. Verstappen finished the push lap first, and Hamilton finished behind him with the slightest margin.
