With just three NASCAR appurtenance, Shane van Gisbergen has become one of the most notable names of the sport. This year, the New Zealand-born driver made history when he won the inaugural NASCAR Chicago Street race, driving the Project 91 car of Justin Marks-owned Trackhouse racing. He was the first driver in over half a century to win a race on debut.

Racing in NASCAR has long been a dream for the Kiwi racer who has dominated in the Australian Supercars series. He won three championships there and the iconic Bathurst 1000 three times, including the 2023 edition of the event. Trackhouse has signed the veteran in a development deal to give him a full-time Cup ride by 2025.
