Josh Berry and Kevin Harvick
Josh Berry, during the ongoing NASCAR Cup Series season, was asked to fill in the shoes of Chase Elliott on the Hendrick Motorsports team for 5 races. In all the events Berry competed in, he did a brilliant job and amassed a truckload of headlines. On the back of his newfound fame in NASCAR, he has become a popular name. He is also scheduled to drive the HMS No:48 Chevy as driver Alex Bowman is out due to an injury.
As per sources, it has come to light that Josh Berry is on the verge of signing a new long-term management contract with Cup Series legend Kevin Harvick‘s management agency. Harvick runs an agency that goes by the name KMI Management and looks after the management of various requirements of various sports and celebrities.
Bringing on board the stardom of Josh Berry at KMI Management is a move that makes a lot of sense from the business point of view. Berry, with his short Cup Series stint, was able to attract a lot of limelight around him, but what made him stand out was his brilliant racing skills during tough race situations.
While he is no more racing for Hendrick Motorsports since Chase Elliott’s return, he was able to do enough to prove his racing skills at the very top. Moreover, while doing so, he became an extremely popular name in the world of American sports, and Harvick’s decision to bring him into the management fold at his firm makes a lot of sense.
Josh Berry did a wonderful job at Henrick Motorsports
When Josh Berry was asked to take on the mantle of racing for Hendrick Motorsports in the absence of Chase Elliott, not a lot was expected from him by the fans, and also by the Jeff Gordon(Vice-Chairman)-led Hendrick Motorsports team. However, what he did during his stint was unimaginable for all the interested parties.
He managed to put in stellar performances, and the one that easily stood out was his brilliant P2 finish at the Richmond Motor Speedway. Gordon was so impressed by his outing back then that he even backed him to have a bright future in the Cup Series competition. While talking about it back then, he said, “Certainly everybody has known his talent watching him in other forms of racing, late models, and the Xfinity Series.“
“You have to put him in other cars with other teams and other people to really see how far he could take it. I think he’s got a future in the Cup Series.” Jeff Gordan firmly believes that Josh Berry can make it big at the Cup Series level. He has all the talent, and with his new role in management at KMI Management, he would again come into the keen eyes of the various Cup Series teams. Can you see him making a comeback in the sport anytime soon?
