Austin Dillon
Austin Dillon who drives the No.3 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing full-time in the Cup Series and part-time in the Camping World Truck Series for the same team driving the No.20 Chevrolet Silverado is adamant with his hopes that NASCAR won’t take down the Coca-Cola 600 of their schedule as a Cup Series event.
He has had a pretty decent so far with no victory yet but acquired six top 10s and two top 15s with a P2 in last week’s All-Star Open and as a tribute to the U.S Military and on account of Memorial Day Weekend will honor Chief Warrant Officer Navy SEAL Scott Adam Stout on his windshield at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Austin Dillon also has an enticing history on this track as he earned his first Cup Series career victory racing in the Coca-Cola 600 back in 2017 and hailing from the same city, he acquired a total of five top 10s and also two Xfinity Series victories at this track in the historic event and he is really looking forward to kickstarting his way into the playoffs winning this year again.
“To me, it’s an iconic weekend,” says Austin Dillon as he hopes that the Coca-Cola 600 not be dropped off the schedule

Austin Dillon went on to say that he is inclined to believe that the Coca-Cola 600 in respect to the Memorial Day Weekend stays on the schedule and he adds that he personally enjoys the race and feels amazing as he gets to pay his respects for the fallen Military Officers.
“I hope they never take the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend off the schedule. To me, it’s an iconic weekend – being Memorial Day weekend and seeing all the different military branches represented, and getting to honor the men and women that protect our country,” said Austin Dillon.
He concluded by saying that he deeply anticipates the historic event every year as it shows the sport’s respect towards its country’s forces and he adds that inculcates this patriotism in everyone and he really longs to see this race not go off the schedule as he thinks it’s the sole gem of the sport.
“I always get excited for that race – the national anthem, the show that goes on before and really paying homage to all of those that have fought for this country. To me, I hope it doesn’t change. It is a crown jewel,” concluded Austin Dillon.
With Austin Dillon standing 13th in the points table and desiring for his personal favorite race not to be taken off, in the end, it all falls into NASCAR’s hands.
