Richard Childress is one of the most accomplished NASCAR team owners of all time. The RCR boss has always been known to have an enigmatic and strong personality on and off track. This has been one of the main factors behind his success as he has fielded cars for the likes of Dale Earnhardt, Kevin Harvick and drivers who are some of the biggest personalities ever in the sports history.
Recently Ex-RCR driver Kevin Harvick spoke about Richard Childress’ personality on his podcast Happy Hours with Harvick. He asserted that Childress always had his driver’s back and was always motivated to win and move his team forward. The 2014 Cup champion also highlighted the intensity the Hall of Famer brings into the team.
People don’t realize how wild and crazy Richard Childress is. He loves to have s*t stirred up, He’s going to punch you in the mouth. He at the racetrack is as intense a dude as you’re ever gonna meet. He is a guy that is going to ask you to hold his watch so he can punch you in the mouth. It is like that with everything and he expects you to have that fire and enthusiasm about winning or losing. It is an eye for an eye.Kevin Harvick said via Happy Hours podcast.
Harvick concluded by saying that Childress always made sure his drivers stayed motivated and cared about the team and winning. Moreover, the entire RCR team was built this way, and Richard Childress’ always motivated to win even with just his presence.
Kevin Harvick snubs RCR drivers from his Richmond Cup winner prediction
Ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series race in Richmond, Kevin Harvick spoke about who he thinks will win the race. According to Harvick, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Martin Truex has a real shot at winning due to his form at the track for the past few years. He also selected the two RFK drivers but didn’t see hope in RCR duo of Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon.

Chris Buescher’s starting his 300th race this weekend. Last guy to win on their 300th race? Brad Keselowski. I think my pick is going to be Martin Truex.Kevin Harvick said.
With Martin Truex’s brilliant form ever since the start of the season, and his record in the past at the track it seems the driver truly has a shot at winning. Therefore, the driver will definitely want to continue his good form but only time will tell whether Harvick’s prediction will come to be true.
