Kyle Busch has once again proved to the Cup garage that Joe Gibbs made a huge mistake by letting him sign with RCR for the 2023 season. He scored his third Cup race win of the season at  Gate, starting the race on the pole and surviving five late restarts to secure the win. He previously had won the Fontana and Talladega Cup races.

Buch held off his former teammate Denny Hamlin in the final lap chance to secure the win. The race win was more than special to him as he started the race on the pole and led more than a hundred laps for the first time since 2019 to win. It was also the first time in over a decade. The No:8 is slowly but surely established themselves as genuine championship contenders.

That was pretty awesome. Man, to sit on the pole, lead a lot of laps and have my guys do such a great job today was pretty phenomenal for us. Great for RCR — just win, baby! Thanks to Team Chevy, appreciate 3Chi. We’re going to have a great time with this one. This one is pretty cool,” Busch said after the win.

Busch celebrated the win in an extravagant fashion as he gave fans one of the best burnouts of the year, something he has done before the fans over 63 times. His son joined him on the track for the post-race celebrations alongside Samantha Busch.
