2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick‘s retirement seems to have created a massive issue for Stewart Haas Racing as yet another major sponsor has announced their departure from the Ford team. Hunt Brother Piza, one of the most established recent chains in the US has decided to join Team Penske Racing’s Joey Logano from 2024 onwards.
They are the second major sponsor to leave the No:4 Ford Mustang team. Busch Lights, who has been the primary sponsor for Harvick for a long time left them to sign Ross Chastain for 2024 and beyond. Now they lose the Hunt Brothers. Following Aric Almirola’s exit, the team lost another big-name sponsor in Smithfield.

Logano will dorn the brand colors in selected races from next year. They will also be an associated partner for the reigning Cup Series champion and Logans’s teammate Ryan Blaney. A spot in the cars of the only two champions in the Next-Gen era is a good marketing decision made by the Hunt Brothers.
While two sponsors with nearly a decade-long partnership left the team, they had some good news in the 2023 post-season. It was the extension of the sponsorship deal with Mahindra and Chase Briscoe, who is now the lead driver of the sport. This will help SHR to have more control over their financial situation.
Hunt Brothers will continue supporting Kevin Harvick
While they have cut all the ties with Stewart Haas Racing, Hunt Brothers won’t stop supporting their champion drivers’ racing ventures. They have confirmed they will support Harvick in his Late Model attempts in the coming years as well as the junior racing ventures of his children, Keelan and Piper.

As the 2nd generation of Harvick drivers comes up, we will continue to see them all carrying the Hunt Brother Pizza colors.Julie Whittington, Director of Strategic Partnerships told On3.
One of the primary goals of the Ford legend with retirement was to help his son establish himself in the racing scene and having a promised sponsorship deal will do a world of good. Having Hunt Brothers as a partner for late model outings is a win-win situation as well.
