The 2022 NASCAR cup season has been monumental. The introduction of Next-Gen cars gave fans some of the most competitive championship chases. Fans also witnessed the return of some of the iconic cup teams to victory lane and the front row. Petty GMS Racing. RFK Racing and RCR are among the groups that made huge improvements.

Richard Childress Racing improved the most in the cup garage. The No:3 and No:8 car scored four wins combined this season, and both their driver arced in the playoffs. Tyler Reddick guided the No:8 team to 3 race wins; all three were his first in the cup. Austin Dillon scored a sole victory this season, but it was significant for him in the final regular season race.

The Daytona win earned him his 5th post-season qualification and ended his two-year winless run. Richard Childress’s Grandson finished the season at P11, scoring 4 top 5s and 6 top 10s along with his win. Surprisingly this is the 3ed time in his nine full-time cup seasons that Dillon is finishing P11 in the championship. It is his best-ever finish to date.

Austin Dillon also ventured into a Reality TV show this year as he starred in Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane, which is Telecasted on the USA network. The show featured Dillon, his wife, and his son alongside his friend Paul Swan and his wife. So far, three episodes have been aired, and it has a 4.8/10 rating on IMDB.

Twitter gives a verdict on Austin Dillon’s 2022 season

To commemorate Austin Dillon’s success, NASCAR put out a Tweet on their official Twitter handle seeking opinions from fans regarding Dillon’s season. The reactions were mixed, and some fans were really critical of Dillon’s performance. Few fans were impressed by Dillon’s performance and his return to the victory lane.
