NASCAR Cup grid visits the 1.5 miles-Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the third race of the regular season Penzoli 500. The Chevy-dominated track will again witness the battle among the constructor’s teams while the other two manufacturers’ battle for a win continues.
Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch s the fan favorite going into the weekend. He will start the race at P5 on Sunday. Busch has scored a top 5 finish in the last 4 editions of his hometown race and holds the all-time record. Busch won last weekend at Fontana and has also won the Ruck Series event at Vegas on Friday. He also started the Xfinity Series event at his home track and scored a P5 finish.
The biggest miss of the weekend will be Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott who had a three-hour surgery to fix his fractured tibia following a Snowboarding accident. JR Motorsports driver Josh Berry will replace the 2022 Regular season champion on Sunday. He will start the race at the back of the grid following the unsanctioned modification to No:8 Camaro Zl1 to fit him.

Who won the 2023 Las Vegas Cup race pole?

Defending Cup champion Joey Logano won the pole for Sunday’s final race. He will line up upfront alongside HMS driver William Byron who will start the race at P2. Logano’s Team Penske Racing teammate Ryan Blaney, who is going through a long winless streak, will start the race at P3. Kyle Busch secured P5 behind the Joe Gibbs Racing rookie Ty Gibbs.
When and where to watch the 2023 Las Vegas Cup race?
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted Pennzoil 400, presented by Jiffy Lube, and will start on Sunday at 3:30PM ET. The 400 miles 267-laps race will be on FOX Sports, PRN, and NASCAR SiriusXM Radio.
What is the purse for the 2023 Las Vegas Cup race?
The total prize pool for the three staged Cup events is $8,960,174. It will be shared among the grid based on the race results and other metrics. Stage 1 of the race will end on Lap 80, followed by Stage 2, which ends on Lap 165. The final Stage of the race will end on Lap 267 if the race doesn’t extend to overtime.
