Ben Simmons Trade: GM Daryl Morey on when will he be traded?

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, league sources believe there is no imminent trade for Ben Simmons at the moment as teams have settled down with the NBA 2021-22 Season starting. It is also expected that GM Daryl Morey will wait until December 15, during which more players will be eligible and available to be traded–before exploring any potential deal for the Aussie playmaker.

“You’re going to think I’m kidding, I’m not. This could (go on for) four years. … We’re in the prime of Joel’s career…Either Ben Simmons is playing for us, or we have to get back a difference maker,” Daryl Morey said as quoted by Clutchpoints

Ben Simmons trade saga seemed to have come to an ease in the recent days as it was reported that the Australian initiated to settle things down with the Philadelphia 76ers and his teammates, with an apology. As a result of which Joel Embiid decided to co-operate with the player and make sure that fans change their stance upon the player.

Having said that, Simmons has not yet stared playing for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA 2021-22 Season. Given that he has started practicing, it would not be long before the Australian is called upon to play for the Sixers in the current season.
