“Don’t do him like that”-LaMelo Ball sends Cole Anthony to hell not once, but twice

LaMelo Ball faced Cole Anthony in the 2020 NBA Draftees derby. Ball’s Charlotte Hornets had to take the loss as Anthony’s Orlando Magic secured a 116-109 win on Friday night in Charlotte. With this, the Magic also ended their 10 game losing streak. Magic, however, remains last in the league with an 8-35 season record.
Mo Wagner scored the game-high and his personal season-high 26 points in the game. His brother Franz Wagner scored 19 points. Terence Ross and Jalen Suggs also scored in double digits off the bench, 10 and 12 points respectively. Gary Harris added 18 points for the Orlando Magic as well.

For the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball scored 23 points and dished out eight assists in the game. Terry Rozier had a cold shooting night as he went 4-15 from downtown and 6-23 overall from the field. Gordon Hayward added 18 points while Miles Bridges contributed with 20.
The Hornets were leading the Magic 91-88 at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Magic started taking a strong grip on the game in the 4th quarter, by gaining the lead off of Mo Wagner’s 3-pointer, making the score 95-93. The Magic went on a 13-0 run, taking the largest lead to 10 points at a point and 13 points by the end of the game.

LaMelo Ball embarrasses Cole Anthony
The Magic beat the Hornets, but looking at the one on one battle between LaMelo Ball and Cole Anthony, Ball surely won. Not only did he lead Anthony in every category, but he also embarrassed him twice. First, during the 3rd quarter, Anthony was defending Ball, when Ball stopped and put Anthony on skates, and then popped for a three-pointer.
On the very next play, Anthony had the possession when he tried to pass. Ball intercepted converting the deflection into a steal running on the fast-break. Ball running towards the rim threw between the legs lob to the trailing Miles Bridges for a monster dunk. Twitter had some crazy reactions to the sequence:
