Enes Kanter Freedom is an outspoken individual

The model is not wrong. Freedom has shown a lot of bravery in the past few years. He has been active in calling out practices that undermine human rights all over the world.

Though he is often criticized by fans who think all of this is a gimmick, few understand that this comes from a personal pain point of Freedom. Born in Switzerland and raised in Turkey, he was an outspoken opponent of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his dictatorship regime.

In 2017, his father was convicted of terrorism and remained imprisoned before being released last year. Freedom’s Turkish passport was also revoked. Freedom recently became an American citizen and added ‘Freedom’ to his name.

He also called out the NBA and Nike for trying to expand the business practices in China at the expense of the Uyghur Muslims. He also called out the players for not speaking up about this topic. He also received hate when he called out LeBron James for the same.
