Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr Come Out in Support of Julius Darius Jones

Julius Darius Jones

To start with, those who are not aware Julius Darius Jones is reported to be the man who is reported to be wrongly convicted for nearly two decades now. He was charged for first-degree murder in 2002 but as it stands, he seems to have no involvement in the hideous crime. Golden State Warriors’ marquee scorer Stephen Curry and coach Steve Kerr recently came out in support of the accused. When the Dubs went on their road trip to Oklahoma to face OKC Thunder, it was the place where Jones was being held.

Now both Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr are known to be one of the most vocal personnel in the league. And have rightfully taken a stand to support the society. Now, both Steve Kerr and 3-point king Stephen Curry were vocal in separate Twitter videos expressing their support in favor of getting Julius Darius Jones off death row and potentially an official pardon.

“I stand with Julius, the whole family, and pray that justice is served for our brother and that he’s a free man soon,” said Stephen Curry in a video.

Having said that, Julius Jones is slated for execution on November 18. While the date draws even closer, the support he’s getting vouching for his innocence continues to grow stronger.
