“It won’t be broken again”- Kevin Durant reacts to Stephen Curry breaking the NBA All-Time Record

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry are up and about the MVP of the season. Both the players are just crushing at the score charts with 25+ plus points though Golden State Warriors as a team are at a better place than the Brooklyn Nets.

Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016 and saw the team winning back-to-back NBA Championships in 2017 and 2018. Though KD’s decision of leaving the Warriors in 2019 came as a bit of a shocker and did spread sourness over the dub nation regarding him his friendship with Stephen Curry remains the same all through the years. They might be each other’s biggest competitors but they have nothing but immense respect and praise for each other.

They recently faced each other when the Nets hosted the Warriors at the Barclays this season. Stephen dropped 37 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Well, he did put quite a show for the Brooklyn audience and they loved every bit of it.

The media and the people quite rushed Stephen Curry when he inched closer to Ray Allen’s 2973 on the board, and things did take quite a toll on him. But if Curry is anything that’s a calm assassin who even in the chaos has his target fixed.

When the Warriors traveled to New York City to battle the Knicks at the Madison Square Garden, the audience was in it for witnessing a moment that’ll have a special segment in the NBA history; a record that isn’t breaking soon. Stephen Curry surpassed Ray Allen to become the player with the most threes in NBA history.

Durant on the ETCs podcast with Eddie Gonzalez unveiled how he felt when he got to know that Stephen Curry has finally surpassed Ray Allen. There was never a doubt that Curry couldn’t do it but the question “when?”

Durant said, “Regardless of what is it, breaking an NBA ALL Time record is always significant especially a record like the three-point shot. And, he still has seven or eight more years to play. So, he is gonna shatter it and it won’t be broken again. So, when I think about something like that it makes me emotional.”

Kevin further talked about how great it was to see the Warriors roster and joked about his “Send the Rollie” tweet after Curry gifted Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, and Klay Thompson a rollie for being the major assist contributors in his record. Kevin Durant is third on the list, so he too deserves one and he made sure Curry knows about it too.

Talking about the effect that Stephen Curry has on the audience even on the road games, Durant added, “Even at the Barclays the amount of Stephen Curry fans were there…and the MVP chants he received after dropping 5 straight threes is like that’s who he is…that is what he attracts.”

Watching Curry is always a treat for the audience as the man does crazy things on the court but it looks amazing.

Kevin Durant has been in the NBA Health and Safety Protocol for a week or so but is finally cleared out. The fans may see the former MVP on the court on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
