Although the Los Angeles Lakers made an insane 17-point comeback against the Detroit Pistons in their latest game but the game was highlighted by LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart fight which caused chaos in the third quarter. As a result, of which the 4xNBA Finals MVP was ejected from the game and was criticized by many former players for putting an elbow onto the eye of the victim. 

To recall the incident, it was Jerami Grant was of Detroit Pistons who was taking free throws, while LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart were on the side to battle for the rebound, just when the bucket was missed, the 36-years-old veteran viciously knocked out Stewart’s right eye, which was evidently bleeding like hell. 

LeBron James takes step to apologize to Isaiah Stewart 

While the particular incident in the Lakers vs Pistons match looked bad, James did not move and was seen apologizing immediately. But Stewart got extremely heated and started to chase LeBron all around the court. Gilbert Arenas believes that Stewart will be out of the league for chasing the biggest attraction in basketball. Charania explained that the league will investigate further and take action soon.

With LeBron, he tried to find Isaiah Stewart’s number in order to apologize for his actions. While it may be a mistake, Stewart was seriously hurt and bleeding a lot. His reaction may have been caused due to the damage, hence James wanted to clear things up.

Having said that, the King James has always been a good sport and refrains from any altercations. This was only his second career ejection, the first coming during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hence, Charania believes the league will take this into consideration while making a decision.  

The league announced on Monday that Lakers’ star LeBron James would be suspended one game without pay “for recklessly hitting Stewart in the face and initiating an on-court altercation.”
