$10 Million worth X-Men actress once publicly crushed on Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard, January Jones

Actress January Jones was spotted flirting with Kawhi Leonard on Instagram a few years back, so we can say that his popularity extends beyond the court. The actress was quite active on social media, tagging the Klaw and sharing a photo of the current Los Angeles Clippers player and former NBA Finals MVP when he was at the Orlando bubble.

Kawhi Leonard is one of the world’s best athletes when he’s in good health, and before his injury, many thought he was the best two-way player in the league. The 31-year-old had a knee injury during LA’s 2021 run to the Western Conference Finals and till now, he’s finding it hard to be productive on the court.

The Clippers are eager to continue their quest for an NBA championship despite Kawhi missing numerous games this season under the leadership of a guy who has been there before.

Actress January Jones from Mad Men and X-Men made her interest in Kawhi Leonard public in 2020. Public thirst may be entertaining, but the Clippers small forward’s girlfriend and two children didn’t discourage Jones from taking her shot. After helping the Clippers to a straightforward 126-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at the Orlando bubble, Jones shared two Instagram stories featuring the two-time NBA champion.

“Call me, Kawhi” and “future boyfriend?” is what she posted alongside images of the former defensive player of the year on two Instagram stories.

She was persuading the NBA player, who was already committed, to get in touch with the actress. With his long-term partner Kishele Shipley, Leonard has a girl whose name is Kaliyah and a boy whose name is not disclosed.

Kawhi Leonard’s NBA legacy and his injury-plagued years

In addition to being one of the world’s best perimeter defenders, Kawhi Leonard is a renowned shot-creator. Kawhi Leonard averaged 24.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG, and 5.2 APG in his final season of good health with the Los Angeles Clippers. He is one of the NBA’s top talents attributable to his five All-Star and All-NBA nominations, two championships, two Finals MVP titles, and two Defensive Player of the Year awards.

He was also one of just 11 active players chosen for the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team and probably will be a first ballot Naismith Hall of Fame inductee.

During a drive to the basket in the 2021 Western Conference Semifinals, Leonard strained his right knee and was forced to leave the game. He also missed the whole Los Angeles vs. Phoenix Western Conference Finals series.

The Claw had surgery to repair a partial tear in his right ACL, the Clippers announced immediately after their exit from the conference finals.

It was believed that Leonard would make a comeback in 2021–2022, but he ended up missing all 82 games. After playing a minimal amount of games this season, the Klaw is being given a limited number of minutes because of his injury concern.

What are the hopes for Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers this season?

The LA Clippers have seen a shift when Kawhi Leonard is on the court because other teams have continued to defend against him aggressively, which has helped create space for his teammates to continue to thrive. The Clippers’ 2022–23 season has not gotten off to a fantastic start, but after 18 games, they are fourth in the Western Conference with 11 victories.

Despite not having the most pleasant journey, they have won 4 of the 5 games Leonard wore the Clippers jersey. Things for the Clippers could change once Leonard returns to full health and with Paul George in scorching form, they might pose the threat that many people predicted they would in the postseason.
