“Thompson was ballin-ballin” 8x All-Star applauds the performance of Klay Thompson against Rockets
Klay Thompson
Klay Thompson finally had an answer for his critics and it was in style. The 4x NBA Champion erupted for 41 points in a win against the Houston Rockets as if he was being revengeful. Thompson shot a total of 10 three-pointers from just 13 attempts, a true glimpse of vintage Klay. Thompson looked confident throughout the game and let it fly from beyond the perimeter whenever he got the chance to do so. Perhaps this was the game Thompson needed to get his form back.
Nobody was happier seeing the old Klay playing and setting the court on fire with his 3-point shots than 8x All-Star, Vince carter. “He [Klay Thompson] was ballin-ballin” said Carter of Thompson’s 41-point performance against the Rockets. Klay has been very vocal about his struggles but he also warned his critics about what was coming. Carter was right when he pointed out that “Klay Thompson was always listening”.
Carter also pointed out the crazy stat sheet of Thompson that has largely been unnoticed. Klay Thompson in the last four games has been averaging 24 points, from 47% shooting from the field, and 49% from the 3-point line on 10 attempts. Vince warned that “not only he [Klay] is shooting well…he is reminding us, I am Klay Thompson.”
Thompson had been struggling to find his rhythm since his scary injury when he tore his ACL in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors. Warriors and Thompson won another championship last year but since the start of this season, Thompson has been struggling to find his true self. The Warriors have been horrible so far into the season, especially in the road games, and many NBA analysts have pointed out that the Warriors are having chemistry problems after the Draymond Green and Jordan Poole incident.

Klay Thompson might have sent a warning to the league
Klay Thompson getting back to his old form is nothing shocking but it was something that all other NBA teams always feared. Thompson playing against the Rockets looked like ‘Game-6 Klay’. He was ready and had a mission to finish. Steve Kerr‘s Warriors were on an 8-road games losing streak and Klay showed up. They defeated the Rockets 127-120. Thompson scored 41 points with 14 of 23 shooting. Stephen Curry scored 33 points and dropped 15 important dimes as well for the Warriors. After the game, Confident Thompson in the on-court interview said, “it’s only up from here. I promise you!”
Stephen Curry is having a record season for himself, averaging 32.2 points per game this season. Having Thompson back in form can help the Warriors get back to winning games and advancing ahead. The splash brothers can turn the fate of the game on their own and can start firing up 3-pointers from any corner of the court.
Klay Thompson has been under fire recently for his poor performance and many judged that he might have lost his touch after the injury. After the Rockets game, Thompson acknowledged that the critics had gotten into his head but he doesn’t care about it anymore. Thompson said, “I don’t care anymore. I really let the trolls get to me… But I know how great I am and what I’m capable of, and I think real Warriors fans know that as well.”
