After the successful career Dennis Rodman had on the court, one could anticipate that basketball would be the focal point of his legacy. During his 14 seasons in the NBA, the former great player for the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons accomplished a lot, something the once-homeless teen living on the Dallas streets could never have anticipated. With five championships to his name and less than ten years since his retirement from the NBA, Rodman was enshrined into the Hall of Fame in 2011. Another indication that he’s made it is the emphasis on his extraordinary journey from almost nothing to the top of the sporting world.

On a previous edition of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the UFC color commentator and well-known podcast host Joe Rogan laughed out while he was listening to a crazy story about the former Chicago Bulls player Dennis Rodman. One of these episodes was mentioned by Billy Corgan, a close friend of Rodman and well-known musician, on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Joe has an amazing photo and Corgan tells humorous narratives about Rodman, but he only gives us the information we think is most important, which is his first visit to North Korea.

Every time Rodman’s name is mentioned, it will be interesting to keep bringing up the scandals, haircuts, body piercings, etc. But we must also consider his tenacity, commitment, toughness, drive, and willingness to give his life for his team in addition to the criticism. Consider Rodman’s distinct personality, but also the traits that helped him become one of the greatest players ever. He has interpersonal skills, doesn’t have high standards for others, and is thus fully aware of his position and thinks it is certainly true.

When Corgan and Dennis Rodman started hanging around in the 1990s, they were a great pairing. At the time, Corgan was the leader of one of the most well-known alternative rock bands in the world and Rodman, meanwhile, was a legendary figure in the NBA.  He began his career as a gifted player for the Detroit Pistons before dying his hair and adopting an outrageous persona as a San Antonio Spur. Rodman was teamed with Michael Jordan, the greatest player of all time, when the Chicago Bulls acquired him. Rodman attracted even more attention as a result, and he swiftly rose to greater fame.
