“Can’t even hold a Taiwan roster spot” – Dwight Howard faces VILE TROLL on contract pay cut in Taiwan
Dwight Howard gets clowned by fans as he's asked to take a 65% pay cut in Taiwan.
Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard has made his way back to the headlines of the basketball world. This time he isn’t recruiting anyone to Taiwan. Instead, the reason is hinting at his exit from the T1 League. Dwight Howard has found the new contract he was offered very disrespectful and is disappointed by the Taoyuan Leopards. The team wants him to take a massive pay cut of 65% on his salary for the next season.
Dwight Howard was offered a contract of around $1 million to join the T1 League as the rumors said. The Taoyuan Leopards though now are only offering him 35% of the promising amount for the next season. This didn’t age well with Dwight Howard who is eyeing a return to the NBA. Commenting on his new offer, he quoted: “After the season, I was offered a contract which was 65% less than what they gave me the first time to come to Taiwan. I felt like that was very disrespectful. I felt like I brought value to the team. Them asking me for a 65% decrease in payment – I was very disappointed. I felt like I deserve more.”
The CEO of the team has claimed all of it to be a misunderstanding. As he said it to be a part of the new incentive pay policy where players would get their base salary with different types of bonuses impacting it. Dwight Howard though is now trying to join the Sacramento Kings and win another championship. He still hasn’t closed the doors on returning to the Taoyuan Leopards next season.
Dwight Howard this season suited up for 20 out of the 30 games the Taoyuan Leopards played this season. As the injuries limited him. Also, it’s the only team that won’t make the playoffs this year. So it’s fair to claim the season as a failure and a disappointing run for Dwight Howard. And, now he’s getting clowned on the internet for his New offer by the T1 League team.

Twitter trolls Dwight Howard for getting offered only 35% of the promised amount
Twitter is clowning Dwight Howard for his New offer. And, they aren’t showing him no mercy as they compare his salary with the WNBA stars while trolling him to get disrespected in Taiwan. Many also claim he now won’t be able to return to the NBA as he failed to lead his team to the playoffs. You can find some of the many reactions posted by fans on Twitter here below:
Dwight Howard’s future is still very uncertain. He can surely be very useful in the league with many teams as a mentor and a veteran. Also, many franchises need a veteran big man this offseason and he does fill that spot.
He has also called out the Sacramento Kings and is willing to help them win it all. But since he isn’t the same dominant player anymore not many teams will trust him. Also, nothing can be said about his future as the league is a business at the end of the day.
