“Equal Rights equal fights” Fans react to Mali Women’s basketball players showing off their boxing skills in frustration

Mali Women’s Basketball players, Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou recently gave the world of basketball some glimpse of their boxing skills. As both of them swung some good punches against each other and those were totally out of frustration as they registered their fourth straight loss against Serbia and are now out of the World Cup. Mali was Africa’s only representative at the World Cup and now unfortunately they departed from the tournament leaving the video clips and photos of their fight behind. Which are now viral all over the internet.

The fight between Salimatou Kourouma and Kamite Elisabeth Dabou broke out during the post-game interview in Australia in the mixed zone area. As the Serbian players who’ll keep their journey in the tournament alive were getting interviewed. It was very unexpected and suddenly all eyes were on them as they swung some good rights and lefts while trying to defend themselves. It’s all good and fun for us watching it happen especially the fans who are out with trolls. But it was a shameless act and a very embarrassing moment for the Mali Women’s basketball team.

Mali Women’s Basketball Team at the moment is being heavily trolled and criticized by the fans. Even FIBA has stepped into it and launched an investigation into the unfortunate and unnecessary incident as they were nothing but frustrated teammates. Even some disciplinary actions can be taken against them. The team was losing on chemistry and losing by big numbers for the past stretch but throwing down punches on your mates ain’t the answer for it. Both the players from Mali Women’s Basketball Team have apologized but the fans ain’t stopping yet.
