“You’re an illuminati and an LGBTQ propagandist” Former NFL Star Larry Johnson stereotyped Russell Westbrook

“You’re an illuminati and an LGBTQ propagandist” Former NFL Star Larry Johnson stereotyped Russell Westbrook

Thanks to the ridiculous clothing that players are wearing, the NBA has recently given entertainment that has gone beyond simply the action on the court and into the hallways of the postgame press conferences. Russell Westbrook may be the worst offender, but now everyone is engaged. Westbrook has always had an interesting sense of fashion but Larry Johnson, a former Kansas City Chiefs running back, said that Westbrook was engaged in illuminati rituals.

Johnson, a former first-round choice of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2003, played in the NFL for over ten years and was selected for two Pro Bowls. Johnson has a troublesome background since he has exhibited violent tendencies and used anti-gay slurs in the past. Johnson’s comments are the most recent from a former athlete; former Lakers player Kwame Brown also attacked Westbrook with a slew of racial and anti-gay slurs. After viewing images of Westbrook sporting feminine attire, Johnson had some social media-related views.

Russell Westbrook- The epitome of a do it all point guard

One of the league’s most dynamic players ever is Russell Westbrook. The NBA record books are no stranger to the 6-foot-3 point guard, in large part because of his propensity to score, make plays, and go after the boards as the dynamic talent is arguably the all-time most athletic point guard. His relentless play allowed him to lead the league in assists three times and win two scoring championships. Westbrook scored the most points for the Thunder ever throughout his 11 seasons with OKC. In NBA history and in a single regular season, Westbrook has recorded more triple-doubles than any other player.

During his 2016–17 MVP season, Westbrook averaged 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game in which it would be the first of his four triple-double-averaging seasons. Westbrook, often known by the moniker “Mr. Triple-Double,” became the first player in NBA history to win consecutive outright All-Star Game MVP titles in 2015 and 2016. Westbrook had a poor season with the Lakers last year, but with the help of their new head coach, there is a strong chance that he can bounce back to his MVP form.

Larry Johnson claims Westbrook to be ‘Illuminati’

One of those who disagrees with Westbrook’s attire preferences is former NFL player, Larry Johnson, a running back for the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson claimed that Westbrook’s attire represented the womanly feel that has become prevalent in the NBA and NFL. He said in his IG story: “[Illuminati] ritual is upon us. This I told you so moment brought to you by…There is an Effeminate Agenda going on amongst the NBA & NFL elite for the buying power of the LGBTQ community…But we not ready to have that conversation yet,” Westbrook’s association with the Illuminati is not evident, and Johnson didn’t explain why it is so either.

Westbrook, in comparison, has never been associated with any scandals during his career. Instead, he has thrived as one of the league’s most gifted players and a triple-double machine. Johnson’s comments are likely to be quickly forgotten, much as Kwame Brown’s comments concerning Westbrook’s clothing were quickly disregarded in the past. Russell is only expressing himself through his apparel in the way he sees fit; he is not harming society in any way and we cannot take away from him what he has.
