JJ Redick proclaims Denver Nuggets as TITLE CONTENDERS in the West for “foreseeable future”
JJ Redick claims Denver Nuggets will dominate the West for years to come.
Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and JJ Redick
JJ Redick has made his way back to the NBA headlines and the reason is another interesting take of his. This time the former NBA star is appreciating and riding with the Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray-led Denver Nuggets. He believes the franchise has a bright future ahead. According to JJ Redick, the current core of the team is capable of dominating the Western Conference for years to come.
The Denver Nuggets have finally made it to the NBA Finals this year and now are tied at 1-1 against the Miami Heat. They have had deep post-season runs multiple times over the past seasons. And, now finally they have a real chance at bagging the NBA championship behind the greats of Nikola Jokic, and Jamal Murray, and the deep young team they have.
After, the Denver Nuggets lost Game 2 against the Miami Heat at 108-111. JJ Redick sent out an interesting take discussing the future of the Western Conference Champions. On the latest episode of ESPN’s “First Take,” he gave the Denver-based team its flowers. And, while doing so JJ Redick quoted: “Regardless of what happens in this series, we are entering a phase where the Denver Nuggets will be the favorites in the Western Conference going forward for the foreseeable future.”
Further, explaining his take JJ Redick added: “They have been the best team in the West this year. They went through a tough gauntlet to get to the Finals. Their core four guys: Jokic, Murray, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., 28, 27, 26, 24, all just entering or about to enter their primes. There’s a long runway in Denver for this team to contend for titles. And ultimately, every team in the West is going to have to go through Denver.”
JJ Redick isn’t wrong with his take on the Denver Nuggets. As they really have the talent and team with the correct leadership, coaching unit, and front office to run the league. They have 2 MVP candidates and a great young core. But that’s not going to stop the other teams in the Western Conference to improve their roster. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving have already shifted to the West and the rumors suggest another superteam is on its way. So just claiming them to be the best for years to come isn’t right.
Can Denver Nuggets win their first title this season?
The Denver Nuggets are yet to win any championships. And, this can be the season where they start the rally. They really have a great chance against the Miami Heat squad and are just three wins away from lifting their first title. But so is the Heat Team as the series is tied at 1-1 after the Denver Nuggets played some lazy basketball in Game 2. Also, the series now is shifting to Miami for Games 3 and 4.
So it’s high time for Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and MPJ to start balling out. Also, the second unit has to do a better job when the starters are out. They have to improve and put in more effort, especially on the defensive end.
Leaving anyone on the Heat team open isn’t going to let them win their first championship ever. Many around the league have them winning it all this year. But none of it matters and they are facing Playoff Jimmy.
