“He’s not satisfied” Kendrick Perkins warns NBA about 4x champ Stephen Curry’s ‘hunger’ to achieve more greatness

Kendrick Perkins and Stephen Curry

There are no doubts that fanatics still expect Stephen Curry to maintain his on-court dominance after an outstanding and historic 2021-22 NBA season. Former NBA centre Kendrick Perkins believes Curry will not slow down anytime soon. The Golden State Warriors demonstrated last season that all they needed was some rest. Last season was particularly significant for the Warriors due to the comeback of Klay Thompson. The splash brother returned to assist Dubs to win its fourth title in eight years after missing two seasons of competitive basketball due to two significant injuries.

Stephen Curry did not seem to slow down even after establishing himself as the Greatest Shooter of All-Time. The Warriors’ star guided the team to third place in the crowded Western Conference. His true brilliance, though, was revealed in the playoffs. Steph came off the bench in the first four games of the playoffs against the Nuggets.

Despite that, he averaged 28 points and 5.4 assists each game. Steph had a point to prove against the Grizzlies in the second round. In six games, he averaged 26 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, leading the Dubs to a 4-2 series victory. Curry averaged 23.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists against the Mavericks.

Kendrick Perkins of ESPN says Curry isn’t done winning yet. Perkins also believes the eight-time All-Star has plenty of miles to walk on before finally hanging up his boots. Here’s what he had to say about it: “I expect Steph to come back just (the) way he left off. I think Steph is still on a mission. I think Steph is still not satisfied,” Perkins said. “Now he knows, he has embraced that role of actually being a leader. We hear how he took Jordan Poole up under his wing. We saw him pull those guys along. Andrew Wiggins, we saw him be a better defender.”

Last season, the two-time MVP demonstrated to the world that he had the ability to win and lead a team. After years of being told he couldn’t lead a team or win a Finals MVP, he finally demonstrated his abilities. Knowing Stephen Curry’s competitive nature, he may be inspired and eager to add more hardware to his collection. He has demonstrated to his detractors that he is capable of playing and leading his own squad. Curry does not require Kevin Durant’s assistance. He won twice without his assistance. Stephen Curry still has a lot left in the tank, according to Kendrick Perkins. He will defend his championship and shoot a tonne of threes in the process.
