“I promise you it’s coming” Klay Thompson fires back at his doubters

“I promise you it’s coming” Klay Thompson fires back at his doubters

Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson, the true splash warrior for the Golden State, posted a strong message on his Instagram story on Sunday night after experiencing another difficult shooting night against the Sacramento Kings. This has become a tendency for Thompson this season but he gives the impression that this is not the end for one of the best shooters in history.

Klay Thompson is a player who, along with Stephen Curry, is frequently included when discussing the best shooter of all time. The cause is his consistent excellence as a shooter and his unrelenting efficiency, both of which have earned him many honors during his distinguished career. Klay is currently in his tenth season in 11 years, having missed two due to injury.

Since he was an All-Star and his shooting was absolutely spectacular to watch, Thompson is receiving a lot of criticism for his current lackluster performance.

For the Warriors to get out of their downturn, Klay Thompson needs to play better, and he is conscious of the high standards he puts himself to. Thompson addressed his haters in a post on his Instagram story, claiming that it’s only a matter of time before he begins to portray the Splash Brother he has become over the years. The IG story read: “My belief is stronger than your doubt. I PROMISE you it’s coming. And when it does the flood gates will open.”

How good was Klay Thompson in his prime?

Klay Thompson has a stellar resume that includes being named to five All-Star teams, winning four NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors, and setting a record of 14 made three-pointers in a single game.

During his illustrious NBA career, he was chosen for the All-NBA team twice and the All-Defensive team once. With a career scoring average of 19.5 PPG and a reputation for huge scoring outings, like the 37-point third quarter and the 11-dribble 60-point performance, Klay is still an exceptional scorer.

He is unquestionably among the best shooters in NBA history.

Klay Thompson and his recent struggles for the Warriors

The defending NBA champion Warriors have had a sluggish start; at one point, they had a 3-7 record. In his last three games, Stephen Curry has averaged 38.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.7 assists while shooting 64.1% overall and 50.0% from 3-point range and this is a completely different level for him. Curry has excelled, but his fellow Splash Brother hasn’t. In 11 games, Klay Thompson has only averaged 14.7 points on 35.1% shooting as he has had trouble getting into a rhythm.

Thompson is still working to limit any potential injuries as he hasn’t been starting in back-to-back games for Golden State. While only shooting 31.9% over his final three games, Thompson averaged 14.0 points per game.

The 4xNBA Champ’s start has been disappointing, especially in terms of his effectiveness. Klay Thompson and the Warriors have the potential to gel fast despite a rocky start, and if that happens, it may be trouble for the rest of the NBA.
