Joel Embiid has been disappointed once again by the second-best player on the 76ers roster. This time it is James Harden. The Beard got Doc Rivers fired and still declined his player option with the Philadelphia 76ers. He wants to bag a multi-year max veteran contract of at least around $200 million. Also, the rumors claim him joining forces with the Houston Rockets is a done deal. And, with all of this happening around the Sixers, Joel Embiid is once again down, disrespected, disappointed, and confused with the future.
James Harden didn’t just clown the Philadelphia 76ers but has also left Joel Embiid alone who trusted him for the past two seasons. The rumors for Joel Embiid demanding a trade out if the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t able to fix the situation around them are already out. Every franchise in the league would like to land Joel Embiid in their system. But according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the New York Knicks are going to try their best if the MVP is ever available on the trading shelf.
On the recent episode of ESPN’s, “The Hoop Collective,” Tim MacMahon revealed how the Knicks are ready to land Joel Embiid in their system. As he quoted: “They’ve looked at that situation in Philly and there’s been a hope in New York that stuff in Philly will go haywire to the point where Embiid will ask out.” Tim MacMahon also mentioned the odds are slim and if any other superstar also becomes available they may change their mind.
The New York Knicks fans are already wilding but let’s not forget how the Knicks haven’t been able to land a superstar for a decade now. The noise is always made but such trades have never happened. But maybe Joel Embiid becomes the exception and demands a trade out to New York. This isn’t sounding good but that’s what many on the internet believe.
Twitter reacts to rumors of Knicks acquiring Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid demanding a trade out is very possible after the Sixers’ disappointing run and James Harden clowning the franchise. But him demanding his destination to be the New York Knicks is a bit hard. As he has a lot many better franchises, he’d like to be a part of. Twitter has mixed reactions to these rumors you can find those here below:
If the New York Knicks try to bid for Joel Embiid in the future if he demands a trade. They’ll surely have to throw some first-round picks and young core players to get the Philadelphia 76ers to sign the deal.
Also, the Sixers can ask the Knicks for Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson in the offer as they aren’t a team looking to rebuild after parting ways with its stars and they have a great core to be alive. So once again the New York Knicks have a chance to land a superstar but history isn’t siding with them. So they may get clowned again.
