Know the TRUTH behind Giannis Antetokounmpo tossing the ladder after Bucks loss against Sixers

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is known as one of the most humble, funny, and kind superstars from the league, was labeled as a ‘villain’ by many for some good time. It happened after a video of Giannis Antetokounmpo tossing a ladder away from a Sixers employee after the Bucks lost to them went viral on the internet. Honestly, that video really portrays Greek Freak as a bad guy. But that was just partial reality and now when the whole story is out, we know Montrezl Harrell is the real villain.

The Philadelphia 76ers recently hosted the Milwaukee Bucks at Wells Fargo Center and handed them an unexpected loss at 110-102. The game was closely contested and head to head, but the Sixers soon took over the control of the game as the second half begin and won it all. Giannis Antetokounmpo struggled from the free throw line and made only 4 out of the 15 shots he attempted.

Even without the free throws, Giannis Antetokounmpo did his job pretty well and dropped 25 points, 4 assists, and 14 rebounds. While on the other hand, Montrezl Harrell was limited to just 1 point and 1 rebound. But he still had the confidence of going against Giannis, who is much better than him. Actually, there’s not even a comparison between them.

Montrezl Harrell stops Giannis Antetokounmpo from practicing his free-throws

Giannis Antetokounmpo after the game ended thought to practice some free throws. As he was horrible from the line and those missed attempts have basically sold the game away. So he was back on the court and doing his thing. But it wasn’t really liked by Montrezl Harrell and coaching staff member Jason Love. As they returned to the court and Sixers’ backup center took the ball away from 2×MVP, DPOY, and FMVP Giannis.

But the Bucks’ leader maintained his calmness and stayed cool while requesting the ball back as the video shows. But Montrezl had other plans as he didn’t give it back and stood there trash-talking. According to The Athletic, Harrell also said: “This isn’t fu**ing Milwaukee. Get that sh*t out of there.”

After this exchange, Giannis Antetokounmpo left the floor and returned with two basketballs. But the story didn’t change. As to stop him from shooting, now there was a Wells Fargo Center employee with a ladder right in front of the rim he was shooting on. And, when Greek Freak asked him to remove it twice, the employee said no. So Giannis himself tried to push it out of his way and ended up tossing it away.

Fans on the internet knowing half of the reality went on to criticize Giannis Antetokounmpo and even gave him names. They even doubted him and called him out as fake. And, now that the reality is out and we know the villain is Montrezl Harrell and not him, he deserves an apology for all the disrespect being thrown at him.

Montrezl Harrell tweeted out his reality from his personal Twitter handle and wrote: “Aye make sure you get the complete story I ask the man can he get off the court so I can workout they had to change the court over he ignore me so hey that’s what you get! Respect is respect! GOODNIGHT!”

But Giannis Antetokounmpo in his interview has precisely mentioned: “I feel like we’re more mature than that. We are professional athletes that try to do our job. You can go and ask (Harrell). I offered him to shoot, let’s shoot together. Meanwhile, I don’t understand this because there’s a basket right behind me. There was another basket behind me. And, he chose to come to take my ball, have his coach get in front of me, and kind of bully me away from the court and go to the other basket.”

Further Giannis Antetokounmpo added: “I’m not going to try to fight somebody. I have kids now, I gotta save my money. But now, if you guys see that as disrespect, that’s on you.” Montrezl Harrell crossed the line and disrespected the superstar. So far the league hasn’t commented on it but everyone knows it won’t end here. As everyone involved has their respect and are tough guys. So fans are waiting for their next match-up.
