Grizzlies star Ja Morant has had to face the wrath of media and fans for quite some time now. Though, these repercussions aren’t surprising but rather the result of his own actions. Morant has lately been termed a notorious repeat offender for various ill actions of his. What began from violence on basketball courts and mall parking lots has now extended to gun flashing. Morant has made rounds on social media for his antics more than his basketball skills.
Youngin Ja Morant recently posted some cryptic messages on social media, which was a cause for many people to worry. After a “Wellness Check” by the police, it was deemed as a “social media exit,” which drew a lot of attention. Kyrie Irving, on the other hand, showed Morant a gentler side and offered advice rather than slandering the player. Irving had various things to say regarding the Morant incident on his Instagram Live.
Irving said, “Even today with Ja and it’s not even a situation. It’s somebody’s life that is very fragile and needs to be taken care of and nurtured.” He added, “Whatever color you are, whatever creed, and whatever religion you are, a lot of us need nurturing. We need the nurturing, the nurturing of maternal and paternal instincts that we get from our mom and dad or our grandparent.”
Irving then spoke about the impact of technology. He added, “We need to normalize family time, taking off the veil of technology. Stop letting technology control your f***ing mind. Stop letting this sh*t do that. Go out in the sun, ground yourself. Learn what peace and mind actually means and pray to God.”

The Grizzlies’ star Ja Morant can’t keep himself out of controversies, and there is no one else to blame but himself. Morant, through time, has caused more chaos than showing his hooping prowess. Per fans, his controversies have a range wider than his basketball abilities.
And the statement isn’t far from the truth if you look at Morant’s history. As previously highlighted, Morant was involved in several counts of alleged crimes and gun-flashing incidents. Initially, Morant faced allegations of intimidation towards an employee at a shoe store following an altercation involving his mother. Additionally, he was accused of threatening a security guard at the mall where the shoe store was located. Another accusation against Morant involved an altercation during a pickup basketball game with his friends, where he allegedly assaulted a 17-year-old boy.
What brought all these matters to light was his gun flashing controversy. He found himself embroiled in a gun-related controversy. During a lively evening at a nightclub, the player inadvertently displayed a firearm on his Instagram Live while showcasing his rap skills and dance moves. Morant had expressed a commitment to changing his behavior moving forward. But he did the exact opposite.
