NBA champion for Lakers, Lamar Odom bizarrely reveals ‘j*rking off’ before every game
NBA players resort to many rituals with a belief that they will perform to their best.

Lamar Odom revealed that he used bizarre pre-game ritual of jerking off before every game, superstition helped calm his nerves
The NBA has players from all kinds of backgrounds, each with their own personalities and tastes. Naturally, players have their own unique rituals they would consistently adhere to before games. But one of the most bizarre superstitions was revealed by former Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom. The former NBA Champion revealed that he would resort to ‘j*rking off’ before every game throughout his career.
Lamar Odom hosts a podcast along with Aron Cohen. In yesterday’s episode, Odom was speaking with Los Angeles Lakers rising star Max Christie. During the discussion about preparing for a game, Christie was talking about pre-game nerves.

Here is what Odom had to say about the same:
I used to always j*rk off. When I think about it, cause that like, probably like, took some of my energy.Lamar Odom said
The 6′ 10″ forward confirmed that, be it at his home or in hotel rooms, j*rking off was his pregame ritual. It helped him to ease the pre-game nerves. This revelation caused Christie and Cohen to laugh hysterically.
Lamar Odom played in the NBA for 14 seasons. In that time, he won the NBA Championship twice alongside Kobe Bryant. He was voted the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2011. Therefore, through all those years, Odom had used this bizarre method to ease him off the pre-game nerves.
The New York native retired from the NBA after the 2013 season. Since then, he dabbled in reality TV with his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian. The forward was known for his all-round game from the bench and was a strong presence in the locker room. However, he has long battled addiction towards physical intimacy and drugs.
NBA stars and their bizarre pre-game rituals
Aside from Lamar Odom, there are quite a few stories about pre-game rituals which might seem bizarre. The great Michael Jordan had one of the most memorable superstitions. He used to wear his University of North Carolina practice shorts all throughout his career. Initially, people thought that he wore longer NBA shorts for style, but it was mostly to cover up the UNC shorts underneath.
Another bizarre superstition was with former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jason Terry. He used to sleep the night before the game wearing the game-worn shorts of his next opponent. Then there was the showering before a game ritual which was borne out of superstition. Many resorted to food and drink as superstitions too.
It seems NBA players latch on to whatever makes them believe will help them perform to their best. But none seem as bizarre as Lamar Odom’s. His revelation will take quite some accepting to do.
