“Ni**as like Perk make a living lying,” Enraged Kevin Durant fires back at Kendrick Perkins
When it comes to his career of destroying people on social media, Kevin Durant is right at the top of everyone’s list, regardless of whether they consider him to be one of the top 10 players of all time in NBA history.
Durant didn’t spare his former teammate Kendrick Perkins this time either. KD responded in his own manner when Perkins left a comment on a post criticizing the failure of the Nets organization in regard to the treatment of the Big 3.
Former NBA player Etan Thomas stated the following in a post that he shared: “I’m no GM, but if you have KD, Kyrie, and James Harden, and you end up trading all 3 but don’t get back any all-stars in return, you have failed as an organization, Brooklyn Nets fans should be livid at Joe Tsai and Sean Marks.”
Perkin’s comment on the post read, “I respectfully disagree!!!!, Player empowerment? KD and Kyrie made all the decisions and over there.”, to which Kevin Durant’s viral reply was, “N****s like Perk make a living lying, Have some honor homie.”
Kendrick Perkins: “KD, Harden, and Kyrie is the biggest letdown in NBA history”
After Kevin Durant’s blockbuster trade to the Phoenix Suns, he was the final member of the Big 3 to fall, dashing all dreams that Nets supporters had before the trio was created in 2021. Before him, Harden had requested a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers last year, and precisely one year after James Harden‘s trade, Kyrie Irving requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks.
Kendrick Perkins, a former OKC teammate of James Harden and Kevin Durant, took direct shots at the trio, calling them the NBA’s worst letdown. the latter tweeted, “Looking back… KD, Harden and Kyrie is the biggest let down in NBA history. It will be an @espn 30 for 30 short…”
In their time together, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant played just 16 games. (8-2 in the regular season and 5-1 in the playoffs), and they only managed to win one postseason series. now fans can only think what would have happened if they had stayed in shape and played together more.
Kyrie Irving recently shared his views on the failure, “I would have liked to see that work for the long term, but there are no mistakes and no coincidences,” he said. He went on to add, “You’ve got to move forward.”
