“They’re just a two-man offensive team” Skip Bayless points out the terrible situation of Nets despite Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s offensive greats
Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant and Skip Bayless
Skip Bayless is all over the NBA headlines as he once again took a shot against his favorite player, Kevin Durant’s team. And, honestly, the Brooklyn Nets really deserve a major part of the shade being thrown at them. As despite having the services of KD and Kyrie Irving they are terrible and that’s exactly what Skip Bayless has pointed out in his recent tweet.
The Brooklyn Nets recently got their second dub of the season after seven good games. And, now the team maintains a 2-5 record. The dub came against the Indiana Pacers during a home game and it was a tough road. The final box score now stands at 116-109. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving played their heart and soul out to get this much-needed win while Ben Simmons was out and resting. This win would have brought some good energy back for the Nets. But Skip Bayless ain’t letting that slide in.
As after the game ended, Skip Bayless tweeted out a very important point via a tweet from his personal Twitter handle, where he wrote: “Nets avoid even deeper disaster at home by holding off late run by Indiana. Now they’re just a two-man offensive team – KD with 36, Kyrie 28. Defense, rebounding optional. Either those two outscore you … or else.”
Skip Bayless is very right with his criticism for the Brooklyn Nets. As except the superstar duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving there wasn’t a player stepping up and taking the responsibility for the team. And, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were good enough to take care of the offensive end but with Ben Simmons being out the team looked like a complete mess on the other end.
Is Skip Bayless pointing out the right matter of concern for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving’s Nets?
Skip Bayless’ tweet came after Brooklyn Nets’ dub against the Indiana Pacers. In the game, Kevin Durant dropped 36 points, 7 assists and 9 rebounds. He was backed up by Kyrie Irving with 28 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Apart from the superstar duo, it was just Nic Claxton who got 19 points. And, the major reason the Nets won the game was due to the bad night the Pacers had.
The team showed no greats on the defensive end and were also terrible with floor spacing and rebounding. Ben Simmons who isn’t in the best form yet really has to be back soon on the floor and in the form too. Last night Nets got lucky but that won’t be the case going forward in the season and they are already down bad. But they still got some good energy in the locker room with hopes to become the best in the league. And, unexpectedly Skip Bayless is right with his take and the team needs to get along as it isn’t just a two-man game.
