Steve Kerr and Michael Jordan

Michael Jordan is commonly regarded as the legendary icon that guided the Chicago Bulls on one of their most memorable runs. But there was a lot more to the winner than meets the eye. Michael was a true tyrannical dictator. He wanted his comrades to work as hard as he did. This implied one of two things for players who weren’t as skilled or as dedicated as MJ. You were either cursed incessantly until you satisfied Jordan, or you faced Jordan’s fury.

In the recent fiasco involving Jordan Poole and Draymond Green, where Green struck Poole with a blow, a story involving Steve Kerr and Michael Jordan has also come forward. Michael Jordan was involved in a dispute with Steve Kerr about something similar in 1995. Jordan hit the considerably smaller guard when they fought. This sounds very similar to the Jordan Poole-Draymond Green saga.

Steve Kerr and Michael Jordan were on opposing sides during practice. Jordan was dominating the game and trash-criticizing his opposing players. Kerr wasn’t impressed, and his rage was growing by the second. Kerr replied to Michael’s flagrant foul with a hit to Jordan’s chest. Jordan, on the other hand, was no stranger to a fistfight and landed his strike squarely on Steve’s eye. Michael recalled the occurrence in his Netflix series The Last Dance.  “He hauls off and hits me in the chest, and I just haul off and strike him square in the f—-g eye, and Phil just kicks me out of practice,” Jordan said

Phil Jackson immediately kicked Jordan out of practice as a result of this. However, Steve Kerr believes that the fight drew Michael Jordan closer together in the long run. He said that MJ was trying the current GSW coach in his way. Kerr aced the exam with flying colors. Draymond Green and Jordan Poole are presently dealing with the fallout from their brawl in a nearly similar reenactment. The 6’4″ guard collapses to the ground instantly, but Draymond is already on him. Other players then intervene to separate the two. The conflict does not appear to be easily resolved. Only time will tell if it brings Poole and Dray closer together as it did Kerr and Jordan.
