“More like this please” Twitter explodes as Brooklyn Nets deliver mind-boggling 42-point victory against Washington Wizards

Brooklyn Nets: Kevin Durant and Royce O'Neale

Amid too much of a fiasco, the Brooklyn Nets’ fans have something positive to cheer about. The Nets clashed with Washington Wizards recently when they are also dealing with a lot of unnecessary off-court stuff. And, to everyone’s surprise, they managed to pull off an improbable victory.

After losing out on head coach Steve Nash and star player Kyrie Irving (suspension 5 games), no one would have expected the team to perform such a humongous task. They thumped the Wizards 128-86 by a mind-blogging 42-point victory. Nets star Kevin Durant led the charge by scoring 28 points. He got support from Nic Claxton, who scored 18 points, and Yuta Watanabe, who scored 14 points. The Nets’ deserted star Ben Simmons was nowhere to be seen in the line-up as he is dealing with an injury.

It looked like the Nets played aggressively and with a positive mindset. There were many certainties around what will happen to the Nets with no head coach and one of the star players missing. But it looks like they have more in the bank than anyone can imagine. The NBA world went crazy on Twitter seeing this new ‘avatar’ of the Nets team. Some of the Twitter reactions can be seen below:

Kevin Durant

A lot has been happening around the Brooklyn Nets for quite a time now. But amidst those things, they have also pulled off an improbable victory. Known as one of the best in the NBA, Kevin Durant made valuable contributions by chipping in a few points. As it was enough to keep the Nets on a winning formula. After missing out on his ‘best friend’ Kyrie Irving, all eyes were on Kevin’s performance in the upcoming match.

He didn’t disappoint the Nets’ fans as he routed the Washington Wizards to register a consoling win. He pocketed 28 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds in what can be termed an ‘easy’ win after Kyrie Irving’s suspension. Nic Claxton came around well with 18 points to his name as the Brooklyn Nets registered only their third win.

Brooklyn shot 14 of 28 from 3-point range and 55% from the field overall. Durant spearheaded the Nets run and kept them ahead of their opponent in all departments till the game ended. The Nets play the Charlotte Hornets next, and the fans will hope that the team keeps winning matches in this fashion.
